RUSU is proud to represent the needs of a unique, ever-changing and diverse student body at RMIT. Our Clubs and Societies department is dedicated to helping students explore their social, professional, political and cultural identities by supporting and funding over 80 Clubs and Societies. Each club is run by students for students!
Are you an existing club? Check out our new Club Resources page!

2012 RUSU CLUBS AND SOCIETIES:
Academic
Clubs
Many courses and subjects require you to go further than just
going to classes. Through our academic clubs we assist in planning,
organising, designing and advising students who are working towards
exhibitions, social functions, careers expo's and other academic
functions. Beyond that - we also provide a good amount of
funding!
Spiritual
Clubs
With a large and diverse student body, RUSU is committed to
supporting the students that support us, across a multitude of
faiths, religions and belief systems. We believe that students have
a right to explore their values and integrate them into their daily
university life at RMIT. Check out our Spiritual clubs to find
like-minded students who hold the same spiritual beliefs and
practises as you do.
Cultural
Clubs
With students coming to RMIT from all corners of the globe, it can
be hard to find people who are experiencing the same cultural
differences as you. RUSU Clubs and Societies have a large group of
Cultural based clubs which will support you in experiencing
Melbourne while helping you to celebrate your own unique
heritage.
Political
Clubs
Whether you're on the left, the right, or in the centre, whether
radical or moderate, conservative or liberal - our range of
political clubs are bound to get your mind ticking. If you want to
stay informed with the current political climate, head along to
meetings, debates, campaigns and rallies to make sure your thoughts
are informed and your voice is heard.
Social/Special Interest
Clubs
Meet a wide cross-section of students, whether it is over a beer
at large student parties, or by attending meetings or workshops to
explore a new skill or interest. Whatever your focus - you can be
sure to meet like-minded students who share your passions by
getting active and involved!
Or Start Your Own…
If nothing is leaping out you yet - there is nothing stopping you
from starting up your own club or society. RUSU Clubs and Societies
gain many benefits, including an extensive funding program to
subsidise costs associated with organising events and camps, hiring
equipment, attending conferences and publishing collateral.
Additionally they are covered by our Public Liability Insurance for
on and off campus events, have access to our on-staff graphic
designer and receive discounted booking rates for RMIT spaces.
NOTE: Provisional new club Affiliations or existing club Reaffiliations for 2012 are now CLOSED for Semester 1.
