Student Initiative Grants

Have a great idea but lacking the support to make it happen?  Try a RUSU Student Initiative Grant!

Student Initiative Grants (SIGs) are a funding program with grants of up to $1000 that are designed to support one-off student events and initiatives with a demonstrated benefit to the wider RMIT community. Launched in 2009, the program has funded research trips, student markets, charity events and programs with a focus on local and global development. These grants must also be of a non-profit nature - projects which lead directly or indirectly to the personal profit of the students involved will NOT be considered.

Proposals can come from either individuals or student groups - and can be related to the applicants academic courses. It is important to note, however, that if the project will be a part of the annual academic calendar, the students should look to forming a club/society and obtain funding via RUSU's Clubs and Societies funding program.
