Environment Collective
The Environment Collective is for anyone who is concerned about our environment.
The collective will give you a chance to meet with other students once a week to share ideas and support action.
Any level of input and experience is valued.
Possible projects for 2008 include a permaculture garden at RMIT and recycled paper on campus as well as anything you’d like to bring to the table (or the Figtree).
We have a budget so let’s use it to make a difference!
Collective meets Tuesdays 12.30-1.20 under the Figtree (behind building 7).

Campaign Success 2007:
The Environment Collective successfully campaigned RMIT to commit to 15% green energy in 2008, rising to 20% in 2009. Before this campaign RMIT was only purchasing 2% green energy!
The University also indicated they would conduct an energy audit on all RMIT buildings, spend $6.2 million on energy efficiency and employ a Sustainability Officer in 2008.
