Being a financial member of your Student Union has benefits.
By choosing to be a financial member of the RMIT Student Union, you're not only supporting the Student Union, you're supporting other students. Why? Because as the only independent, student-controlled organisation at RMIT we provide support, representation and advocacy to all RMIT students. Your decision to support us means we can continue serving the needs of RMIT students, like we have been doing since 1944.
Of course, being a financial member also has benefits for you! All our financial members recieve a membership pack, featuring a discount booklet and wallplanner. Your financial membership also entitles you to reduced cost (even free) services, events and activities from the Student Union. Members also recieve regular email updates and are also eligible to stand for election as a member of the Student Union Council.
I want to know more about being a member.
Check out our FAQs page - it is full of information about what the Student Union does, how can you join the Student Union, where to pay the fee and more!
I ticked "yes" when I enrolled. Am I now a financial member?
No, unfortunately you're not a financial member yet. You need to pay the membership fee ($40 for one semester or $80 for the full year) at any Student Union office. Click here for office locations.
I've paid my fee but haven't recieved my membership pack yet.
Sorry about that. We're experiencing a bit of delay, but hope to have the pack out soon. Click here to find out more about this delay.
