About
As a co-operative, Organarchy is owned and controlled by students for the benefit of all students, especially its members. As a social enterprise, the organisation reflects its values. Organarchy strives to balance social, environmental and economic goals and objectives. Organarchy aims to provide a supportive and nurturing environment, open and inclusive, pluralistic and diverse.
There are some changes at the co-op this year! No more paid memberships! We are promoting the future sustainability of the co-op but need volunteers to do so. So in 2007 volunteers are our members, and are going to be receiving 20% off bulk and hot foods as well as a free lunch with every shift and of course cups of tea! This is an exciting prospect for us, it means more memberships by promoting volunteers and providing our appreciation with not only smiles and hugs but greater discounts and free lunch.
Volunteers can gain great experience at the co-op, as well as being part of a community to feel welcome in, an abundance of chats and laughs, retail and customer relations experience is also gained. It is a great place for people to gain hospitality experience as well as a sense of community.
Volunteers are an essential part of the food co-op and integral to its running, if you are interested in volunteering please email foodcoop@rmit.edu.au or phone 9925 9791.
The food co-op also understands that people are unable to volunteer but would like to contribute financially towards the co-ops sustainability, thus we are offering a friends of Organarchy sponsorships. This will be $50 for the year and entails the sponsor to 10% discounts of bulk and hot foods.
