Applying for Special Consideration
Special Consideration is available to ensure that you are assessed fairly when you have been sick or experienced other issues such as personal problems that have had an impact on your ability to study. If your application is successful, your School or Department can make changes to your assessment.
Make sure you apply on time! Your application must be submitted within 48 hours of the assessment due date.

Appealing Against a Special Consideration Rejection
If you recieve a letter informing you that your special consideration application was rejected the first thing you should do is book an appointment with a RUSU student Rights Officer. Call 9925 5004 or email student.rights@rmit.edu.au
You can appeal your Special Consideration rejection under 2 grounds:
You have 10 working days to lodge your appeal.
